La mia Isola che non c'è - My Neverland

Each story worthy of respect, as well as a charismatic protagonist, also requires other four factors: a good plot, good co-stars, a supervillain and a good scenery.

You already know of what our story is talking about: It speaks about a dream and speaks about flying.

What you don't know is who are the protagonists, who the bad guys and where our story takes place.

   - The protagonist: No, not me. I would be quite tedious as the main character and you, the reader, you are not here to talk about me! The protagonist of this story is air. That's right, it's just the air! It's her who will accompany us on this trip and she will allow us to soar in the sky, to turn somersaults and shout to the small men down there, locked in their troubles: << Hey! I'm here! Look at how small your problems are in front of all this immense sky! Come with me! Even for a moment, even just with your imagination!>>. 

It's the wind flowing on the wings that enables the airplane to fly, and to us with him!

  - The co-stars:  Every hero has friends who assist him in his actions, allowing him to overcome all the difficulties. It's easy to guess who I mean: I speak of our planes! Yeah, them, the faithful companions who bring us up and down through the air and allow her to perform her miracle.

So here I present to you "my" aircraft:

• I-A004 (India alfa zero zero four)

Faithful companion of my initial flights, it is a Tecnam P92 Echo Classic. Wingspan of 9.3 m, It takes off in about 110m and has a cruising speed of 100 knots (185 km/h).

It accompanied me on my very first flight. Due to a serious engine problem it is unfortunately grounded since a couple of months.

• I-7123 (India seven one two three)

After I-A004 grounding, this is the plane that is accompanying me in my dream since a few months.

It's a P92 Echo Super, has characteristics very similar to its predecessor but has a different and more comfortable  design and a slight increased cruising speed: 103kts, aka 190 km/h.

     - The villain: This story, unfortunately, has a supervillain: the bad weather! Just when you need to go a bit up in the air, there it is that damned rain cloud ready to follow you 'til ends of the earth to destroy your plans: luckily now the arrival of summer should give a bit of peace and sun!

     - The scenery: Some stories are set in the Caribbean, others in New York. But this is not: it begins and ends in a grassy strip 670 meters long and 30 wide, in the middle of the Tuscan countryside: the airfields Valdera, home of Pisa Aeroclub.

This is my Neverland. This is the place where the magic begins, where time does not pass and we remain children, where the world is stationary and everything turns around the smell of the grass and the background noise of the propellers. Where you learn to fly and you leave behind all the rest...

Ogni racconto che si rispetti, oltre che di un protagonista carismatico, necessita anche di altri quattro fattori: una buona trama, dei buoni coprotagonisti, un supercattivo e una buona ambientazione.
La storia che vi voglio raccontare sapete già di che parla: parla di un sogno e parla di volare.

Quello che non sapete è chi sono i protagonisti, chi i cattivi, e dove si svolge la nostra narrazione.

  -   Il protagonista: No, non sono io. Sarei abbastanza noioso come protagonista e tu, lettore, non sei qua per sentire parlare di me! Il protagonista, anzi la protagonista, di questa storia, è l'aria. Esatto, è proprio l'aria! E' lei che in questo viaggio ci accompagnerà, ci permetterà di librarci nel cielo, di fare le capriole e di gridare agli omini piccoli laggiù chiusi nei loro affanni: <<Hey! Sono qui! Guarda quanto sono piccoli i tuoi problemi davanti tutto questo cielo immenso! Vieni con me! Anche per un attimo, anche solo con la fantasia!>>. E' l'aria che scorrendo sulle ali permette all'aereo di volare, e a noi con lui!

 -  I coprotagonisti: Ogni protagonista che si rispetti ha degli amici che lo coadiuvano nelle sue azioni, permettendogli di superare tutte le difficoltà. E' facile indovinare di chi parlo: parlo dei nostri aerei! Già, proprio loro, i fedeli compagni che ci portano su e giù per l'aere e permettono all'aria di compiere il suo miracolo.
Ecco quindi che vi presento i "miei" velivoli: 

• I-A004 (India alfa zero zero quattro)

Fedele compagno dei miei primi voli, è un Tecnam P92 classic. Apertura alare di 9,3m, decolla in circa 110m e ha una velocità di crociera di 100 nodi (185 km/h).
Mi ha accompagnato durante il mio primissimo volo.

A causa di un grave problema al motore è purtroppo fermo ormai da un po' di mesi;

• I-7123 (India sette uno due tre)

Dopo la dipartita di I-A004, questo è l'aereo che mi sta accompagnando nel mio sogno da qualche mese.
E' un P92 Echo Super, ha caratteristiche molto simili al suo predecessore ma ha un design diverso e più comodo e una velocità di crociera un po' superiore: 103kts, alias 190 km/h.

     -  Il supercattivo: Anche questa storia, purtroppo, ha un super cattivo: il maltempo! Proprio quando hai bisogno di andare un po' sù per aria eccola lì la nuvoletta di pioggia pronta a seguirti in capo al mondo e a distruggere i tuoi piani: per fortuna ora con l'arrivo dell'estate dovrebbe concedere un po' di tregua!

    -  Lo scenario: Alcune storie sono ambientate ai Caraibi, altre a New York. Ma questa no: questa inizia e finisce in un striscia erbosa lunga 670 metri e larga 30, al centro della campagna toscana: l'aviosuperfice Valdera dell'Aeroclub di Pisa. 

Questa è la mia isola che non c'è. E' il posto dove inizia la magia, dove il tempo non passa e si resta sempre bambini, dove il mondo è fermo e tutto gira intorno all'odore dell'erba e al rumore in sottofondo delle eliche. Dove si impara a volare e a lasciare indietro tutto il resto...
