The dream of flying - Il sogno del volo

Today I am here to start telling you about a dream that, little by little, is being realized: flying!
I'm Giuseppe, a young Italian chemist that love spending his free time with his mind (and, when possible, his body) in the clouds. I hope you would forgive me some inevitable grammar mistakes! Feel free to report every errors you might found :)
If you are here, in this blog, it might mean that this dream is not only mine, but is shared by you, my hopefully soon many readers, as well as by hundreds of thousands people around the world.
In these pages I would like to pass on my passion and my love of flying to all those that feel stuck and overwhelmed by the world, who need to brush up on their desires and to experience the freedom and tranquility that only flying can give. The immensity of the sky and the new perspectives, the feeling of being all-mighty and fragile at the same time, generate a feeling of amazement and delight. Flying teaches us how technology, art and emotions are related, that man can overcome his natural limits and rise to something higher, more beautiful, than our everyday routine. Flying has it all: it is a mental challenge of concentration and of critical and scientific thinking, which offers emotions that nothing else can give.

As Leonardo da Vinci said: 

"Once you have learned to fly, you will walk on the ground looking at the sky, because there you have been and there you will want to go back"

Oggi sono qui per iniziare a raccontarvi un sogno che, poco a poco, si sta realizzando: volare!
Sono Giuseppe, un giovane chimico italiano che ama passare il proprio tempo libero con la testa (e quando possibile il corpo) tra le nuvole. Spero che mi perdonerete gli eventuali strafalcioni grammaticali nella traduzione inglese. Sentitevi liberi di segnalarmi nei commenti eventuali errori.
Se siete capitati su questo blog vuol dire che forse questo sogno non è solo mio, ma è condiviso da voi, i miei spero presto numerosi lettori, oltre che da centinaia di migliaia di persone in tutto il mondo.
In queste pagine vorrei trasmettere la mia passione e il mio amore per il volo a tutti coloro che i sentono bloccati, inglobati dal mondo, che hanno bisogno di rispolverare i loro desideri e di provare la libertà e la tranquillità che solo il volo può regalare. L'immensità dei cieli, la prospettiva nuova, il sentimento di essere al tempo stesso fragili e onnipotenti, generano una sensazione di immenso stupore e di incanto. Volare ci insegna quanto tecnologia, arte e sentimento siano correlati, quanto l'uomo possa superare i propri limiti naturali e elevarsi verso qualcosa di più alto, di più bello, rispetto al nostro mondo quotidiano. Volare offre tutto questo: è una sfida mentale e di concentrazione, di pensiero critico e scientifico, che regala delle emozioni che nient'altro può regalare. 

Com'ebbe a dire Leonardo da Vinci: "Una volta che avrete imparato a volare, camminerete sulla terra guardando il cielo, perchè là siete stati e là vorrete tornare"
